The technology companies Nagra and Kaon agreed to work together to launch a new Android TV streaming solution for Pay TV operators. “It is designed to accelerate time to market of Android TV-based services,” told the Senior Vice President and Head of Content and Asset Security at Nagra, Maurice Van Riek.
The solution will enable the delivery of advanced TV features in a highly secure and cost-effective environment, in full compliance with the Google MediaCAS framework for Android TV deployments.
The new product will be launched at the APAC (Asia-Pacific) Android TV Summit, which is developing these days in Bangkok, Thailand. Nagra and Kaon will compete in this type of solution with CommScope and TiVo.
