Trace production company has informed TAVI Latam that Trace Brazuca channel will be launched in Brazil in early 2020, probably in the first quarter of the year. However, the date has not been fixed yet because it depends on negotations with operating companies and their technical availability.
Trace Brazuca is a linear channel primarily dedicated to Brazilian urban music. It will also broadcast documentaries and programs specifically related to Brazilian urban culture. The channel will be available to Pay TV operators and OTT platforms in Brazil and other Portuguese-speaking countries.
To mark its entry in Brazil, Trace began to broadcast a one-hour weekly show (Trace Trends) dealing with Brazilian urban culture in RedeTV!, a Free-To-Air channel. In addition, Trace has reached an agreement with América Móvil in order that Net and Claro’s Now platform may include Trace content in VOD format (available in the next few days). These moves are conducive to “getting the public familiar with the DNA of the brand before the channel is launched,” Trace executives explained to TAVI Latam.
