Netflix has announced that in 2021 it will open a new office in Latin America. It will be located in Bogotá, Colombia. At the moment, the streaming company has offices in Mexico City (Mexico), Los Angeles (USA) and Alphaville (Brazil) working for Latin America. In addition, it plans to set up another office in Argentina. According to information disclosed to TAVI Latam by the company, the Argentine office will also be opened in the current year.
In this way, Netflix “affirms its commitment to Colombia,” asserted the company’s spokespeople. “This will allow us to be even closer to the creative community and our local members,” they added.
At the same time, Netflix announced the development of over 30 local projects in 2021 and 2022. The list includes series, movies, documentaries and specials. The titles presented some days ago are the following: Ritmo Salvaje, Locombianos, Juanpis, Lokillo Flórez’s Nada es Igual, Alejandra Azcárate, Goles en Contra, Pálpito, Perfil Falso, Diomedes and Chichipatos (second season). The company has invested more than USD 175 million since 2014.
