The streaming platform owned by e-commerce company Mercado Libre, whose name is Mercado Play, is to livestream the Buenos Aires Trap Festival, a music event to be held at Parque de la Ciudad, Buenos Aires City, Argentina, on December 7 and 8. This is the first time the platform, which was launched in mid-2023, is to broadcast an event live. The live-stream will be free to the public at large.

The festival will feature relevant trap stars, such as Duki, Nicki Nicole, Bizarrap, Cazzu, Eladio Carrión, Neo Pistea, Khea, Lit Killah and Milo J.

The live broadcast will be accessible through Mercado Libre mobile application or the web, without any subscription or registration requirements. The stream will start at 1 p.m. Argentina local time. The event will be hosted by Paula Echeverría, Nacho Elizalde, Sofía Carmona and Federico Bareiro.

So far Mercado Play has offered only VOD content, including series and movies, thanks to agreements with relevant programming and producing companies. The only exception is Brazil, where the platform includes a linear channel: CazéTV.

The Buenos Aires Trap Festival will bring together the most popular artists performing trap music and other similar styles. The event has already had several editions, the first of which was held in 2019, but it has not been held every year since then (In 2020 it had a virtual format). Previous editions were broadcast live by Movistar, Claro and YouTube.
