Streaming platform Paramount+, owned by ViacomCBS, and telecommunications company Cablevisión (Telecom) have announced an agreement whereby the latter becomes a commercialization, marketing and media partner of the former. As a result of this alliance, subscribers of Flow, the upper plan of Cablevisión’s Pay TV service, will get a one-year free period upon signing up.

As part of the agreement, Cablevisión has added Paramount+ to its Flow platform, which allows customers to access the streaming service on their TV sets through Cablevisión set top box remote control. In addition, users may access the service on their computers, at the OTT’s website (www.paramountplus.com) or on any mobile device through the app.

“We keep consolidating Flow as the meeting point of all entertainment content, in order to give our customers the best user experience and to offer the widest variety of content on multiple screens,” remarked Telecom Chief Operating Officer Gonzalo Hita.

The new alliance makes it possible for ViacomCBS to step up the partner strategy it is developing in connection with Paramount+ in Latin America. The company’s partners include Claro Brasil, Claro Video, Izzi, Megacable, Totalplay, Dish, StarTV, Vivo, Oi, Tigo, HV Multiplay, Apple TV Channels, Amazon Prime Video Channels, Cinépolis Klic, Incomm and Mercado Libre.
