Telecommunications company Telecentro is now offering its streaming platform, Telecentro Play, to customers and non-customers alike. Therefore, the OTT can be accessed by anybody who has no commercial relationship with the company, by its triple play subscribers (Pay TV, Internet and phone service) and by those customers who have not signed up for the traditional Pay TV service. According to Telecentro’s website, “Now we offer T-Play to everybody”.
The monthly fee to be paid by non-customers is USD 6.5, whereas the price charged to customers varies according to the services they have signed up for, with some Pay TV subscribers having access without any additional charge. The company offers a single plan, but it is possible to add premium packages such as HBO, Fox Premium, Hot Pack (adult channels) and Pack Fútbol (TNT Sports and Fox Sports Premium, including local soccer matches live). Existing customers will find their Telecentro Play fee included in their invoice, while the only method of payment for non-customers is by credit card.
The streaming platform is available on mobile devices and PCs.
As a result of this initiative, Telecentro has become the third Argentine operator to launch an OTT Pay TV service, the first and the second being Movistar Play and DirecTV Go (AT&T), although only DirecTV Go and Telecentro Play are available to non-customers.
It is worth mentioning that some days ago Telecentro entered an agreement with the company running dating app Tinder and launched an Internet package that includes subscription to Tinder+ (Tinder Plus), the paid version of the app.
