On February 12, Fútbol Canal, a new channel owned by the Bolivian Soccer Federation (FBF), made its debut with a live broadcast of the match between Real Oruro and ABB, which marked the beginning of the Summer Tournament. At that moment, the channel became available to subscribers to eight operators: Entel, Cotas (Cooperativa de Teléfonos Automáticos Santa Cruz), Cotes (Cooperativa de Teléfonos Automáticos Sucre), Coteor (Cooperativa de Telecomunicaciones Oruro), AXS, Digital TV (XDigital), Tuves and the new Maplenet, at no additional cost.

Although the Summer Tournament is a friendly contest, when inquired by the local press, the Federation authorities answered that the eight operators listed above were likely to include Fútbol Canal in their lineups to air the official league live. It goes without saying that the Federation hopes to enter into new distribution agreements with other operators in the near future. The official tournament is expected to kick off in April.

Fútbol Canal was created at the initiative of the FBF, which decided not to conduct a call for bids for the local league broadcasting rights after the termination of the agreement with Tigo Sports, which was in force between 2021 and 2024.
