The US OTT platform has announced that it has partnered with Millicom to offer the service in the nine Latin American territories where the telecommunication company does business. The countries are Colombia, Paraguay, Bolivia, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua, where Millicom operates under the Tigo brand.

CuriosityStream, an OTT focusing on documentaries, was launched by John Hendricks, the founder of Discovery Channel. It offers thousands of titles (originals and non-originals) and includes plenty of 4K quality content. The platform is available worldwide in www.curiositystream.com.

In Latin America, it is not the first time that CuriosityStream has partnered with other companies. The company had previously entered into agreements with Liberty Global in the Caribbean (where it operates under the Flow brand), Cable Bahamas in Bahamas (for its REV TV service) and Totalplay in Mexico. “Additional carriage agreements are expected to be announced in the weeks and months ahead”, according to company officers.
