Grupo Vytal, a holding managed by Argentine media entrepreneur Tomás Yankelevich, has reached an agreement with Latinoamericana de Redes y Comunicaciones, a company belonging to Grupo Enfoca, for the acquisition of the entire capital of Peruvian Free-to-Air TV station Latina. In November 2025 Vytal, among whose shareholders it is worth mentioning Chileans Jorge Carey and Edgar Spielmann, had entered into an agreement with Paramount Skydance for the acquisition of Chilean Free-to-Air channel Chilevisión, a transaction that closed in January 2026.

According to a press release issued by Latina, the move is aligned with Grupo Vytal’s strategic investment vision for the region and is subject to approval by government regulatory agencies.

In connection with the acquisition, Vytal President Tomás Yankelevich said: “We have been watching the evolution of Latina and its achievements in various platforms for several years. After having added Chilevisión to our portfolio, we wish to boost Latina by integrating new technologies in order to expand its mass reach, strengthen its leadership and create content that may enrich Peruvian families’ lives.”

Meanwhile, Latina Board of Directors Chairman Cayetana Aljovin asserted that the sale “will guarantee the consolidation and internationalization” of the channel.
