As announced on July 6 at the TIM’s (Telecom Italia) annual convention, Amazon Prime Video will expand its mobile-only streaming service to make it available in Brazil through the telecommunications operator. The OTT’s mobile-only version is already available in Guatemala and Argentina.
Prime Video Versao Celular makes it possible for customers to enjoy the whole catalog of movies, series and live sports (Copa do Brasil) offered by Amazon Prime Video only on mobile devices. Users of prepaid packages TIM Pre Top and TIM Beta will have access to the OTT without any additional charge, so long as their subscription is active.
According to TIM Chief Marketing Officer Paulo Esperandio, “We intend to delight our customers as well as Oi users, who have just joined us, by pursuing continuous innovation and offering relevant content. Growing demand for streaming makes it a crucial axis in this strategy”. In order to promote the new offer, TIM will be launching a campaign including television, radio, digital and social media, as well as public space advertising.
