Netflix subscriber count has already exceeded 15 million in Brazil, according to information provided by UOL, a Brazilian website. This figure equals the aggregate of Pay TV customers in Brazil, which was 15.32 million as of the end of April, as reported by the Brazil Telecommunications Agency (Anatel).
In January, another Brazilian website known as Na Telinha revealed that Netflix had projected a subscriber count surpassing the 15 million milestone in the first quarter of 2020.
The latest financial statements of the streaming platform managed by Reed Hastings state that the company had 34.3 million customers in Latin America as of the end of Q1 2020. Each country’s data are not stated.
The only official Brazil’s subscriber count previously confirmed by Netflix was 10 million as of the end of April 2019, according to UOL.
